Santa Rosa, CA -- January 11, 2007 -- Fulfilling increasing demands from both retailers and consumers, Alcatraz Seafoods has launched an entire line of ocean sustainable, all-natural seafood products.

"In the increasingly competitive seafood business we knew we had to do it better for our business to be a success. "But", lamented Lucas, "We never imagined the amount of fanfare and enthusiasm a line of preservative-free, ready-to-serve seafood products would receive in the marketplace today."

Alcatraz Seafoods has spent thousands of dollars, endless man-hours and over two years to develop their new line. Last year, they launched what was the first Pasteurized Dungeness Crabmeat at the International West Coast Seafood Show held in Los Angeles, California. What was seen as a great "risk" was immediately picked up and distributed by Tony's Fine Foods of Sacramento, California as well as other distributors nation-wide.

But the innovations didn't end with Pasteurized Crabmeat. This year Alcatraz Seafoods will introduce fourteen all-natural, preservative-free seafood products at the Fancy Food Show in San Francisco. A new market has been established by the recent re-tooling of many of the nation's grocers offering an increasing amount of natural and ocean sustainable seafood products.
